USTDA Approved Launch of Second Satellite of Azerbaijan
Real U.S. Trade and Development (USTDA) will provide JSC Azerkosmos grant for a feasibility study for the start of the second Azerbaijani telecommunications satellite, according to information on the agency's website.
The document signed by the Grant Agency Director Leocadia I. Zak and the Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov.
The size of the grant is not specified, but it will allow JSC Azerkosmos to determine the economic, technical and financial capability of funding the creation, launch and operation of the satellite.
"We are pleased to hold this project and are ready to share the American experience and the decision " , - stated in the information with reference to the Director of USTDA.
This is not the first grant of U.S. Agency needs of the local aviation and space. Prior to that, in April of last year, financial aid is awarded the Civil Aviation Administration of Azerbaijan (SCAA). The grant was issued to strengthen the civil aviation security and safety. Local aviation should be audited by the Federal Office of Civil Aviation of the United States for high-status categories I. This would enable the national air carriers provide direct flights to the U.S., which would contribute to the development of trade between the two countries.
In any case, and Azerbaijan Airlines and Silk Way Airlines have signed contracts for the purchase of " long-range " aircraft Boeing, providing direct flights to the United States of America and other countries .
