Prison Service Denies Violence against Activist Arrested

The Prison Service has denied reports of the beating in the cell of the arrested activist of the organization Free Youth, Ilkin Rustamzadeh.

According to the Center for Public Affairs of the Prison Service, which talked to Turan, no beatings with iron bars took place and all this information is absurd.

However, the lawyer of the activist, Neyman Kerimli, said earlier that his client had been beaten with iron bars and his honor and dignity were offended.

The lawyer also said that he has already informed the ICRC and international organizations.

Note that yesterday, the Nasimi Court extended the arrest of Ilkin Rustamzadeh for 2 months.

The reason for the arrest of Rustamzadeh on May 17 this year was the placement of a Youtube video of the flash mob "Harlem Shake” on the seafront of Baku. Because of this, Rustamzade was prosecuted for disorderly conduct. -16D04-
