Media Review December 28, 2019
The role of TANAP in the transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Europe, discussion of the issue of compulsory real estate insurance, and official statements regarding the illegal circulation of goods in shopping centers is the current media theme.
The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the role of TANAP in transporting Azerbaijani gas to Europe, since it is an important link in the implementation of the South Gas Corridor project. The author recalls that in 2011 between Azerbaijan and Turkey a memorandum of understanding was signed on the project, and in 2018 TANAP was put into operation. The SGC project consists of 4 parts: the second phase of the development of the Shahdeniz field, the expansion of the South Caucasus Pipeline, the construction of the TANAP and TAP pipelines. The head of state noted that TANAP is not just a pipeline passing through the territory of Turkey, as it will provide gas to it, and Georgia, and Europe.
The website Bizimyol.info discusses the issue of compulsory real estate insurance with the expert Ilkin Ibrahimov. He emphasizes the mandatory nature of real estate insurance, recalling the amount of fines in the absence of an insurance contract - from 30 to 200 manats. State buildings that are insured due to the budget are also subject to insurance.
The website Oxu.az cites the opinion of Deputy Tax Minister Sahib Alekperov that illegal trade in unregistered goods takes place in the Bina and Sadarak shopping centers. In his opinion, market owners should also be interested in transparency of turnover. The state customs and the Ministry of Taxes are taking serious measures against this.
