Caspian Shipping Company Receives Positive Opinion on Sustainability Report
Baku / 30.06.16 / Turan Ernst & Young conducted an audit of the Report on the sustainable development of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (CSC) and gave a positive opinion.
The report (http://www.acsc.az/az/pages/2/252) reflected the measures implemented for 2014-2015 and achievements in quality assurance, health, safety and the environment, the management of staff and other social directions, according to the shipping company report.
The sustainability report was prepared, taking into account the existing requirements for logistics and transport services of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). This process started in November 2015 and ended with the transfer of the document to independent international audit in early 2016.
Given the global challenges in the international economy and sustainable development on the background of the impact of these difficulties on the economic activity, the implementation of the tasks is the main criterion for the success of CSC.
Note that this document is the first report by CSC in the field of sustainable development. In turn, CSC is the first shipping company in the Caspian basin to submit a report on sustainable development in social corporate responsibility activities. ---08D
