Former employee of LLC Koroglu complains of the arbitrary
A former employee of Koroglu LLC Namik Mamedov intends to renounce his Azerbaijan citizenship, if they do not investigate his brutal beating in this enterprise. This statement was made by Mammadov at a news conference at the International Press Center.
According to Mammadov and the relatives of two other employees of LLC Koroglu, the leadership of the company producing sweets uses sophisticated methods of blackmail and bullying against the staff.
As Mammadov noted, the company operates on the principle of network marketing: products are distributed by the representatives of the firm to trading networks in the country. After some time, the company requires from its members money for the delivered products, including tools for non-traded goods. Thus, Mamedov was assigned duty at a rate of 20,000 manat. When he refused to acknowledge the debt, then severely beat him first in the company. They stripped him, took off his underwear, and distributed the photos among the staff.
As a result of the beatings, Mammadov had his brain and internal organs injured, which was attested by physicians, who then changed their own opinion.
Mammadov showed two conclusions from Tusi Clinics, presented to the investigation. On September 24, 2011 at the request of the investigator of the 12th Police Department, the Sabunchi clinic acknowledged Mammadov’s severe injuries. However, this document was excluded from the investigation materials, as well as the testimony of two witnesses. After 2 months the clinic gave a conclusion that Mammadov visited the clinic just for consultation.
Despite the fact that Mammadov wrote a complaint to the President, Attorney General and head of the Interior Ministry, two investigations by the 12th police department in the Sabunchi district ended with a refusal to initiate criminal proceedings against officials of the company Koroglu.
If for the third time the investigation ends inconclusively, Mammadov intends to renounce the citizenship of the country.
Law enforcement authorities also refuse to prosecute the case on the fact of suicide by a former employee of Koroglu, 30-year-old Hayam Nagiyev. According to his father, the young man was forced to pay a non-existing debt at a rate of 10,000 manat.
"I paid 3,000 manat, but they continued to demand 7,000 manat more. Then I said that, if my son had committed a violation, an investigation should be conducted on the basis of the law. However, they continued the threats and on December 5, 2011 my son hanged himself.
The Prosecutor's Office of the Absheron district refused to institute a case of incitement to suicide. My son left two small children," said Musa Nagiyev.
The third employee - Asif Rahimov was confiscated a two-room apartment in the Ahmedly settlement. The company attributed it to compensation for an alleged debt at a rate of 30,000 manat. When the Rahimov family went to court, they wrote that he had another debt of 10 thousand manat. Moreover, Rahimov was abducted and beaten, said his wife Sakina Rahimova.
It should be noted that a year ago, a group of other employees of the same company also complained of extortion, blackmail and physical violence. All complainants indicate that officials of LLC Koroglu declared to them that they have high patrons and are not afraid of anybody.
However, the company denied these facts. -06c-
