A.Gasymly: Slander against the "REAL" is the order by authorities
Publication of slander against the movement "Republican Alternative" ("REAL") for allegedly some secret ties with Iran and receiving some funds from the Iranian Embassy of Finance is not a figment of imagination of the author, but the execution of order of the political power, said in an interview with Cətin Sual ( «Difficult question») of Turan agency Azer Gasimli, the board member of the movement "REAL".
All written by Eynulla Fatullayev is a lie and slander, Gasimli said, recalling that the same Fatullayev on his website last year, wrote that the "REAL" was financed by the United Kingdom and the United States.
According to him, defamatory material was initiated by the authorities, who have several objectives. "It is the desire to put pressure on the "REAL" and intimidate its members. Another purpose is to discredit the "REAL" and to show the West that the organization they are supported is cooperating with Iran.
In fact, the "REAL" is neither pro-Western, nor pro-Russian, nor pro-Turkish, nor pro-Iranian organization. We are pro-Azeri Movement, and the main thing for us is the interest of the Azerbaijani people," said Gasimli.
However, "Real" does not intend to sue the author of the publication. "We did not sue the site or author, because it is not a figment of the author's thoughts. This order from the authorities," continued Gasimli.
"The so-called prosecutor's investigation is also a kind of pressure to keep activists tense. However, this "investigation" does not make sense and reason. If they were, first of all, measures must be taken against any employee of the Iranian Embassy and the Embassy of Iran," said Gasimli. He noted that no pressure will cause the "REAL" abandon their struggle. According to him, the process of transforming the organization into a political party will complete this year. With regard to the release of the leader of "REAL" Ilgar Mamedov, Gasimli believes that due to active discussion of this issue in the Council of Europe structures, he also will soon be free. -C06--
