Eldar Hasanov needs examination and serious treatment - Professor A.Geybullah
Baku/18.07.22/Turan: The health condition of the convicted former Prosecutor General and Ex-Ambassador Eldar Hasanov has recently deteriorated, his lawyer Javad Javadov said.
His appeal to the Minister of Justice last week concerning the necessity of effective medical care for Hasanov has not yet received any response. According to the lawyer, Hasanov is increasingly losing consciousness and falling down.
He added that there has been no response from the main medical directorate of the Ministry of Justice, where they also sent an appropriate appeal about Hasanov's condition and submitted a request of Hasanov's family to allow him to be treated by private clinics in case his condition worsens. However, no permission was granted.
Currently, Gasanov is placed in the medical unit of the colony number 9. “However, there is no adequate medical care there. The doctor is not there all the time. Sometimes, when Gasanov's condition worsens, there is no doctor there. There is also no doctor on weekends.
Only once a doctor of medical sciences, Professor Adyl Geybullah, was allowed to see him.
"I submitted a certificate to the main medical directorate of the Ministry of Justice. After that, I'll have to re-examine Eldar Hasanov, but there is no such opportunity.
According to him, Hasanov should have a liver examination and an MRI of the brain. "After that, treatment can be prescribed. It's possible to treat him in the hospital of the Penitentiary Service, but if not, then we'll have to transfer him to a civilian clinic", Geybullah said.
In turn, Iftikhar Gurbanov, deputy head of the main medical department of the Ministry of Justice, said that Hasanov is currently under medical supervision. "His condition is stable, there is nothing dangerous for his health. Specialists are working with him," Gurbanov said. When asked if Hasanov was given a liver examination and an MRI of the brain, Hasanov said that "some examinations have been carried out and the results have been sent to Adil Geybulla."
