PACE monitor to visit Azerbaijan
Stefan Schennach (Austria, SOC), co-rapporteur for the monitoring of Azerbaijan by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), is to make a fact-finding visit to the country from 6 to 8 April, says a press-release from the PACE.
In Baku, he is due to meet the President of the Republic, the Speaker of Parliament, the President of the Constitutional Court, the Ombudsperson, the Justice Minister, the Prosecutor General, the Head of the Presidential Administration and members of parliament, as well as representatives of extra-parliamentary opposition parties.
He is also due to meet members of civil society and the international community, lawyers and media representatives. -0-
