Hussein Aydin: "If we burned those who were in debt crisis, what would we do?"
Baku /23.03.19/Turan: Speaking at the Uludag Economic Summit, President of the Association of Turkish Banks, General Director of Agrar Bank Hussein Aydin, who chaired the meeting of banks and leading industrialists, said that weighted actions of banks in respect of companies on debt loans 2015 -18 years played a decisive role in addressing this issue.
Regarding the issue of postponement of loans and insurance premiums, Hussein Aydin stressed the need for long-term repayment of taxes and insurance during times of crisis: "When our relations with Russia deteriorated and the tourism sector went bankrupt, we went to Antalya to meet with the owners of hotels and country houses which extended the expiration date of the repayment of overdue loans. In 2018, our tourism sector began to grow again, and we expect a record in tourism in 2019. Imagine what it would be like if we selected hotels and resort villages that were unable to pay on loans and sell them at a very cheap price. Our bankruptcy industry has also learned from the crisis. You must use the same experience when paying taxes. If we do not choke taxpayers, they will pay tax debts. "
According to Turan, the chairman of the Association of Turkish Banks said that the government has taken the necessary measures to solve current economic problems that have arisen since August 2018, and that the reports of international rating agencies cannot have a negative impact on the Turkish economy.
Famous businessmen Abdulkadir Konukoglu and Ahmet Nafiz Zorlu also positively estimated the position of banks in the process of paying off problem loans. -0-
