Azerbaijani Defense Ministry denies reports of shelling of Armenian positions
Baku/05.07.22/Turan: The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry denied the report of the Armenian military department about the shelling of Armenian positions on the border of the two countries. “On July 4, at about 21:15, units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire from various weapons, including large-caliber weapons, at Armenian military positions located in the western part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, in particular, in the village of Khachik, Vayots Dzor region, as well as in the direction of the road, leading to the village, as a result of which the car of the head of the community was damaged,” the Armenian Defense Ministry said today.
In turn, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan stated that "the information disseminated by Armenia in connection with the alleged shelling of enemy positions by units of the Azerbaijani army in the direction of the state border is false and does not correspond to reality."
The department stressed that the units of the Azerbaijani army did not open fire in the indicated direction. "This is another misinformation of the Armenian side," the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry stressed. --06B--
