The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the dynamics of crop production in agriculture. The author notes that for 6 months of this year, grain production increased by 40%.
Yields also increased. If earlier the index was 20 quintals per hectare, now it is over 30 quntals, and on a number of farms - 60 quintals per hectare.
Production of melons and gourds increased by 40%, fruits - by 20%, and vegetables - by 14%.
For 7 months of this year, export of fruit and vegetables grew by $ 345.3 million, cotton fiber by $ 83 million, soft drinks by $ 17.4 million, cotton yarn by $ 73.3 million, and sugar by $ 16.5 million.
The Yeni Musavat newspaper writes that unemployment statistics do not reflect the real situation. According to the State Statistics Committee, as of September 1, the economically active population was 5,191.2 thousand people. 4,939.1 thousand of them are employed.
The employment service registered 70.9 thousand unemployed, of whom 35.3% were women, and unemployment benefits were paid only to 638 people. The amount of this payment is 233.5 manat.
The figures say that the number of officially recognized unemployed over 8 months increased by 3.5 times.
At the beginning of the year, the number of people who were officially granted unemployed status was 20,088.
The website Lent.az writes that inside school assessment is not conducted transparently. Expert Kamran Asadov claims that the assessment methods used so far - surveys and written exams - are not always objective. The expert believes that the test assessment is the most objective one. In his opinion, there is no monitoring and reporting on the quality of education in schools.--0---
