Workers Once Again Unhappy with Todini
This morning, Azerbaijani workers of the company Todini, which is building a road in the Salyan district, conducted a two-hour warning strike before the company’s office in the village Chukhanly. The workers complained that despite the 40 degree heat they were not provided with clean drinking water.
As the head of the local NGO In Support Of Democracy, Emil Mammadov, told Turan, the workers were given one-liter bottles of water at dinner, which they took with them and drank while working at a construction site. However, in recent times, bottles are no longer given, but instead stationary machines with potable water have been installed in the canteen. At the same time, polluted water is delivered to the construction site.
In addition, workers are not happy with the quality of the food, which consists mainly of frozen chicken. During the meeting with the leadership of the company the workers were promised to meet their demands, and the people returned to work.
Recall that Todini management was several times accused of discriminating local staff before. -03D-
