Ilham Aliyev Receives Head of OSCE / ODIHR Observation Mission
Baku / 30.03.18 / Turan: President Ilham Aliyev received the head of the mission of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) of the OSCE, Korin Jonker.
According to the website of the President, during the conversation, an exchange of views took place on the upcoming presidential elections in Azerbaijan on April 11.
Aliyev expressed confidence that the elections will be held in a democratic, fair and transparent atmosphere, in accordance with the electoral legislation, and reflect the will of the people.
On the eve of the mission, the ODIHR released an interim report stating that the election campaign is taking place in the political dominance of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party headed by the incumbent President and candidate for the post of head of state, Ilham Aliyev. -16D-

According to a report by Turan correspondent, the discussions took place behind closed doors and lasted for over an hour. No statements were made to the press following the meeting.
