Turkish Foreign Minister Speaks with Azerbaijani, Russian Counterparts
Baku / 28.10.20 / Turan: On October 28, a telephone conversation took place between the Foreign Ministers of Turkey and Azerbaijan - Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Ceyhun Bayramov, the Turkish Foreign Ministry reported.
During the conversation, the situation around the Karabakh conflict was discussed.
And on the eve, Çavuşoğlu had a telephone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The parties substantively discussed the situation in the Middle East region.
On Libya, mutual interest was confirmed in establishing a comprehensive inter-Libyan dialogue with the participation of leading political forces and associations. The importance of the work carried out under the aegis of the UN was emphasized, the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
According to the same source, it was agreed to continue active bilateral contacts, including through the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, military departments and special services, to help resolve the situation in Syria and advance the political process in line with the fundamental UN Security Council resolutions and agreements between the participants in the Astana format.
The situation around Nagorno-Karabakh was also discussed. The need to ensure a stable ceasefire between Armenia and Azerbaijan as soon as possible was emphasized.
According to the same source, the Ministers stressed that there is no alternative to a peaceful solution to the problem, the need to immediately establish a ceasefire and resume the negotiation process within the framework of the established mechanisms of the OSCE Minsk Group. The inadmissibility of the internationalization of the crisis due to the involvement of foreign fighters in it was especially noted. -16D-

The Baku Appeals Court has rejected the complaint filed by Mustafa Hajibeyli, the deputy chairman of the Musavat Party, regarding violations during the early parliamentary elections. The complaint concerned violations in the 8th Binagadi First electoral district, where Gadzhibeyli was a candidate. “The CEC did not acknowledge any violations at the polling stations in this district,” Hajibeyli said. The complaint was 11 pages long, with 21 pages of reports, 16 pages of decisions from the district and CEC, and a DVD containing video and photos documenting alleged fraud.
